Woravit Chailimpamontri, GH Bank’s President said the Bank will be launching Bt20 billion of special interest-rate housing loans for all customer groups to celebrate its 59th anniversary on September 24, 2012.
The Bank is offering special, initial nine-month, 0% interest rates loans for the following borrowers: government officer housing loans, welfare customers without deposits, LTF/Fast Track project for retail customers, professionals and GH Bank’s local workers housing project borrowers.
Interest rates for these loans will be MRR – 2.00% per annum from the 10th to 24th month. From year three until the end of the loan agreement, interest rates will be MRR – 1.00% per annum (welfare customers) and MRR – 0.50% per annum (retail customers).
The Bank is also offering special, initial six-month, 0% interest rate loans for general retail customers. Interest rates on these loans will be MRR – 2.00% from the seventh to 24th month. From year three until the end of the agreement, interest rates will be MRR – 0.50% per annum (GH Bank’s MRR currently is 7.25% per annum). Eligible borrowers must submit applications and complete loan transactions prior to September 30, 2012.
The Bank is also offering nine-month stepped-up fixed deposits with maximum interest rates of 5.90% per annum. The Bank will pay 3.00% per annum from the first to fifth month, 3.59% per annum from the 6th to 8th month and 5.90% per annum for the 9th month (average interest rate for nine months is 3.52% per annum). Minimum deposit is Bt100,000. This campaign ends September 30, 2012.
Worawit said that customers opening saving accounts with minimum deposits at Bt500 will have the option of selecting from four “GHB Lifestyle Cards” (ATM cards).
The Bank will also waive account opening fees (Bt50), first-year annual fees (Bt100) and no ATM transaction fees will be charged at GH Bank, GSB, Islamic Bank of Thailand and commercial bank machines in Bangkok and surrounding areas.
As Thailand’s leading housing loan provider for more than 59 years, Woravit said GH Bank has helped more than two million people purchase their own homes. “GH Bank will be developing new financial products and services that will help more Thai people achieve their financing objectives,” he said.
