GH Bank provides three-year low interest-rate loans for Jimmy & Roslyn Carter Project

GH Bank announced today that it will be a Bt3.5 million bronze sponsor for the Habitat for Humanity-organized Jimmy and Roselyn Carter 2552 Mekong Basin housing project to honor HM the King’s 82nd rainy season. 
 
The project will build 82 homes for the underprivileged and the Bank will also be sending volunteers to jointly construct a house with Carter and his wife and volunteers from around the world at Tumbol Muang Len, San Sai district, Chiang Mai.

GH Bank will also provide three-year special interest rate housing loans for the 82 houses. Each Bt200,000 loan will pay for land costs - 50 square wah @Bt1,000 and material costs – Bt 150,000). GH Bank will be lending Bt16.4 million to the project.

The interest rate will be 3 per cent  for the first year, MRR – 1.50 per cent for second and third year and MRR – 1 per cent  from the 4th year to the contract end. (Currently MRR is 6.50 per cent) 

These loans to the underprivileged are viewed by GH Bank as an integral part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives. The Bank’s other CSR projects include a Dream School project, bicycle- loan programs, Border Patrol Police School project etc.
